Yesterday I donated to Act Blue but today...
I got an automated call asking to verify they were authorized by me and not fraud....they didnt call about the dozens of amazon orders in the last few days...they called about the Act Blue donation.....
do I need to get my foil hat out now?

2. No
I'd say you buying regularly from Amazon is a good reason for them not to be suspicious about it. It's the unusual activities that get flagged.
But I also don't know whether stolen cards have been used for political donations. |

3. Do not select any link in that emai, and if you know which credit card you used, call the number on
the back of the credit card, not any number embedded in the email
That should eliminate the possibility that a third party was trying to get information from you Most likely they just want to make sure you authorized the charge, especially if you hadn’t donated through act blue previously |

5. That sounds appropriate to me.
The answer is “no”, in my opinion.

6. Do you donate to ActBlue regularly?
If not, it's an irregular behavior that might trigger your credit card company's algorithm.
