Why did the Republican-controlled Senate Intelligence Committee issue this report today?

Are they trying to get rid of Trump too?

Anyone who understands the politics of this, please let us know why!

1. My two cents'

Senator Richard Burr and possibly Ben Sasse are not on the Trump Train.

The timing is perfect IMO. If this committee really wanted to spare the GOP damage, they would have waited until AFTER the RNC Convention. They only would have had to wait a week and a half. But they dropped it right as the DNC convention is getting started.

Democrats own the media all week this week. We're everywhere!

I think this is devastating timing.

Just my opinion.

4. That sounds entirely plausible

The timing of this is weird, and maybe Burr and Sasse (who is current Trump object of hatred in the GOP) are the key.

I would like to see how Trump spins this.

Thank you for the insight!

2. Bet it's one of those reports like Bible, where one can interpret it in way that meets their agenda.

And/or, it's one of those reports where you have to read -- and comprehend -- just about the whole thing to connect the dots.

Hope I'm wrong.

3. It speaks very loudly that this is a bipartisan

report and I think they are trying to distance themselves from the coming disastrous elections coming their way.

Too little, too late, but, that being said, I'll take anything that inflicts political harm to the Mango Menace and his criminal organization and helps evict him from the WH and hopefully into prison.

5. That is a good question!

Just the other day I read there was some infighting amongst the repugs so who knows....

Senate Homeland Security Chair Ron Johnson blamed fellow Republicans on his committee Wednesday for blocking him from subpoenaing former FBI Director James Comey, former CIA Director John Brennan and other figures involved in the investigation of President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign and its contacts with Russia.

7. a delusional belief that implicating the FBI in what amounts to rule breaking, at worst

...will null and void the Mueller report.

Silly magats.

12. Was not Senator Blumenthal

threatening to Read the Unredacted Version into the Senate Record during the recess? That would make it Public Info.
