When and how to vote in all 50 states
Axios Stef W. Kight, Naema Ahmed See: https://www.axios.com/how-to-vote-by-state-2020-307c3d17-ee57-4a1b-8bad-182ca1cdb752.html Excerpt: Millions of Americans who normally vote in person on election day will turn to early voting or mail-in ballots this fall — but that only works if you understand your state's election rules, deadlines and how to ensure your vote is counted.
Driving the news: Axios is launching an interactive resource, built on research by RepresentUs, a nonpartisan election reform group, to help voters across the country to get the information they need. The article includes clickable links to state web sites for applying for mail-in ballots. Also shows various rules for all states regarding: * Ballots mailed to active voters KY........... ![]()

3. Yes
I have to say here in Minnesota we are totally ready. While a primary with no real contested statewide races is hard to draw real lessons for the general. We had enough local and high profile elections to spot check. Even though same day at many precincts in CD5 had twice as much activity as was projected (and so did several in CD7) no real problems and they could have handled much much more.
We may be somewhat of an exception, but the solid partisan divide may actually work for this election. Campaigns have increasingly been attempting to bank early votes, this year the choices are pretty set and so the effort to get those votes banked will be a lot less. |

4. Credit for where I ran across a link to this info....
Link to tweet Text: Mrs. Betty Bowers @BettyBowers
Share this link with everyone who is not voting for Donald. It tells you the voting rules for your state, provides links for applications for absentee/mail-in ballots, and instructions on how to get them turned in. I am turning mine in BY HAND. 3:46 PM · Aug 15, 2020 KY........ ![]() |

9. Yes, I wish DU had a means to do that......
with the approval of each item by the Administrators and perhaps placed in a special DU tab. Things of this importance don't even need to be associated with any DU member but most everyone needs to see them.
Key items on COVID-19, the general election, and legislation of very high importance are good examples. KY |

10. I sent a note to "Ask the Administrators"...
Maybe if enough people do that it will happen.

8. "a true reflection of the will of the people?" That's not enough. Not in the USA. Not any more.
If the true will of the people were enough to decide an election, Al Gore would have been inaugurated in 2001, and Hillary would be president now.
