Trump doesn't give a rat's ass that he killed Herman Cain by holding his Tulsa Rally
https://www.rawstory.com/2020/07/trumps-feels-no-regrets-about-herman-cains-from-he-may-have-caught-at-tulsa-rally-nyts-haberman/
Last month, former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain attended President Donald Trump’s rally in Tulsa without wearing a face mask — then 40 days later, he died from COVID-19. Trump’s campaign held the rally in Tulsa in an indoor venue where it did not require face masks or social distancing — but New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman says the president and his advisers have no regrets about how they held the rally. During an interview, CNN host Alisyn Camerota wondered if there was any remorse about holding the rally in the middle of the pandemic against the advice of medical professionals. “Knowing that Herman Cain went to that Tulsa rally — okay, the Tulsa rally that the medical experts in Tulsa did not want the president to hold because they knew it would be dangerous — he went as a healthy, 74-year-old man,” she said. “He was not sick, he was not positive for coronavirus that day. Then a month later, he is dead. Is there any feeling inside the White House of responsibility, of guilt, of connection to this?” “This is not how the White House is is handling it,” Haberman replied. “The White House continues to have a blinder view of all of this. They do not look at actions they have taken as having an impact on people getting sick, whether that’s the Tulsa rally or a lack of sufficient testing across the country.” Supposedly Herman Cain was a friend, although Trump doesn't actually have friends in the true sense of the word. Certainly he was a strong Trump supporter. Did Trump express any regrets at all about Herman Cain's death. The morning after all Trump could talk about was delaying the "rigged election."

1. Trump killed Herman Cain .... end of story
Last month, former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain attended President Donald Trump’s rally in Tulsa without wearing a face mask — then 40 days later, he died from COVID-19.
snip “Knowing that Herman Cain went to that Tulsa rally — okay, the Tulsa rally that the medical experts in Tulsa did not want the president to hold because they knew it would be dangerous — he went as a healthy, 74-year-old man,” she said. “He was not sick, he was not positive for coronavirus that day. 4. Cain ran a pizza company
He was not a brain surgeon. Perhaps you're thinking of Ben Carson?

15. Masks are rare in my area, even in businesses that "require" them. Maybe 30%.
I will say that I see more masks within the last two weeks than before.

19. It's the people who are listening to the science who will turn this around.
Those in trump's bubble will get sick, perhaps die, or learn.
Nobody is hiding the information from them, although turning of Fox News and RWNJ hate radio might help too. |

20. There's the silver lining. MAGATS will be culled from the herd.
That's one way to achieve herd immunity. And a better society. Shame it had to come to that.

6. Cain
God knows I would never defend the big orange piece of crap, but Cain was a grown man. He also apparently was an anti masker (is that even a word?) He choose to go to the Tulsa rally, no one forced him to go. He choose not to wear a mask. I don't think he went to the Mount Rushmore rally but I don't really know. I guess what I'm saying, it was his choice. You play the game, you take your chances. |

8. Cain was already sick during the Rushmore fiasco. He was reported
sick with C-19 about 10-11 days after a Tulsa?

9. Yes Cain made his own choices. But the fact remains that Trump's choices are killing people.
There is no contradiction between saying that Trump killed Herman Cain and that Herman Cain killed Herman Cain. They are both responsible. If Trump had not held his reckless rallies, Herman Cain would probably be still alive.

11. Haberman still doesn't understand something very elemental.
What she writes is true of Trump. He doesn't even allow himself to contemplate the possibility that he's the cause of harming others. But that's not true for people like Jared Kushner and Stephen Miller, and the others. They totally understand what they are doing.
Jared Kushner was even quoted months ago saying: "I don't care about any of that." “I told Jared that if Trump won a second term, he wouldn’t have to worry about running again and you can really help people. Jared just looked at me and said, ‘I don’t care about any of that,’ ” the executive told the outlet.
https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/495270-insiders-describe-kushner-as-de-facto-president-who-played-key-role It's important to get the pathology right. Trump is surrounded by advisors who completely understand they are killing Americans, and they intend to do so. Haberman is still giving the White House an exit ramp they don't deserve. It's like that ridiculous (mostly discredited) argument about Auschwitz, that killing the Jewish people was so compartmentalized that the people involved weren't actually aware they were participating in The Holocaust. They have blinders on and can't see Give me a break. |

22. Well, Cain chose to go to that rally.
He could have stayed home. He also chose not to cover his face. That being said, yes, Trump holds significant responsibility for the conditions that led to Cain's idiotic, self-destructive attitude. Just as he is responsible for all of the other selfish, stupid assholes who were, and still are running around, ignoring all the precautions that have been set in place by public health experts.
