It comes down to no mask, no visit, no photo op.
Of course he wore one, and of course he wore one for the wrong reasons. There is no use in explaining that to his base - they cannot understand.

Utter disingenuous bullshit.

Both times (and in (2) twice), he deigned to wear a mask, he had been told unequivocally, NO MASK... NO photo-OP.

Everything for him is transactional.

When has he ever cared enough about our wounded soldiers to visit them? And if that is why he was there, he would have plastered pictures of himself with a wounded soldier so we could see how "compassionate" he was. If he was there for a photo-op, he completely failed (unless images eventually show up in a campaign ad).

My suspicion is that he was there for another cognitive test. That certainly was on his mind this week since he mentioned a past one publicly.
