Broadway star Nick Cordero has died after a months-long battle with the coronavirus. He was 41.
Cordero, whose Broadway credits include Waitress and Rock of Ages, died on Sunday morning at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he had been hospitalized for over 90 days.
He is survived by his wife Amanda Kloots, whom he wed in September 2017, and their 1-year-old son Elvis Eduardo.
"God has another angel in heaven now. My darling husband passed away this morning. He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth. ⠀ I am in disbelief and hurting everywhere. My heart is broken as I cannot imagine our lives without him. Nick was such a bright light. He was everyones friend, loved to listen, help and especially talk. He was an incredible actor and musician. He loved his family and loved being a father and husband. Elvis and I will miss him in everything we do, everyday," she wrote on Instagram Sunday.
"To Nicks extraordinary doctor, Dr. David Ng, you were my positive doctor! There are not many doctors like you. Kind, smart, compassionate, assertive and always eager to listen to my crazy ideas or call yet another doctor for me for a second opinion. Youre a diamond in the rough," Kloots continued.

(40,357 posts)I am frightened for everyone. I don't think I could go through what this poor man went through. I wouldn't want to. But if you're not in that situation, I don't think you can say for sure.
The country is focused on the spread and the deaths. The suffering is awful too.

(9,020 posts)This virus is relentless. And it makes me so angry that there are people in this country out partying and spreading the virus. The idiots who are ripping face masks off store employees and attacking restaurant workers need to be arrested and sent to jail. I live in Texas. Im tired of people spreading the virus because they think its a hoax or it doesnt matter or they are supporting an evil man who cant face reality. Tell those excuses to the families of those who have died a horrible death.

(9,452 posts)So heartbreaking to think that a little boy is going to grow up without his daddy. And it most likely could have been prevented if someone had only done their job.
Things like this just take me down. I was so lucky to have my dad for 56 years. This little boy is so young he won't even have any memories of his dad.
