Intelligence report warned of coronavirus crisis as early as November: Sources
"Analysts concluded it could be a cataclysmic event," a source said.
AKA Trump knew about "it" and did nothing except that he and Kush-Turd invested in HCQ (hydroxycholorquine)
and their own C-19 test kits instead of using the one from the W.H.O..

As far back as late November, U.S. intelligence officials were warning that a contagion was sweeping through Chinas Wuhan region, changing the patterns of life and business and posing a threat to the population, according to four sources briefed on the secret reporting.

The report was the result of analysis of wire and computer intercepts, coupled with satellite images. It raised alarms because an out-of-control disease would pose a serious threat to U.S. forces in Asia -- forces that depend on the NCMIs work. And it paints a picture of an American government that could have ramped up mitigation and containment efforts far earlier to prepare for a crisis poised to come home.
"Analysts concluded it could be a cataclysmic event," one of the sources said of the NCMIs report. "It was then briefed multiple times to" the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Pentagons Joint Staff and the White House. Wednesday night, the Pentagon issued a statement denying the "product/assessment" existed.

"As a matter of practice the National Center for Medical Intelligence does not comment publicly on specific intelligence matters. However, in the interest of transparency during this current public health crisis, we can confirm that media reporting about the existence/release of a National Center for Medical Intelligence Coronavirus-related product/assessment in November of 2019 is not correct. No such NCMI product exists," the statement said.
The White House National Security Council and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence declined to comment.

(35,197 posts)Except that pretty much everybody that thinks about it just scratches their heads.
No intelligence agency confirmed it. Even by additional leaks.
It requires that something be outrageously obvious weeks before the first case was reported. They've backtracked with testing to find a case from 11/17/20, I think it was, but it was unclear that anybody saw it as a pattern or upsurge.
Hospitals weren't slammed. In fact, the communications that were seen tend to suggest that doctors instead of being deluged in November saw an increase from 1 in early December to a couple dozen cases in Wuhan (a city of 10+ million) over December, and finally identified it as a thing by the end of the month. Hardly overwhelming.
In other words, the ABC story is a hapax. (Which is also older uppercrust British slang for a one-off kind of event.)
A spin-off story later, still anonymous and even more fact-deficient, claimed that NATO (and a third story included Israel) was advised of this. Again, a story that wasn't confirmed, but rather disconfirmed because if it was so bloody obvious in November, why was Europe--you know, the good guys--caught off guard in February. S. Korea didn't know. Nobody knew until the official announcement in early January. But they all knew 5 weeks earlier. And they all let their people die.
What's left is "I wanna believe."

It would be interesting to find out when Trump and Kushner first invested into HCQ (hydroxycholorquine).
