Just got home from Walgreens.

Last edited Wed Jun 17, 2020, 03:44 PM - Edit history (1)

My husband went in to get my prescription and pick up a couple of cleaning supplies while I stayed in the car. During that short visit 20 people walked in and out, only one with a mask. These people are morons, led by a mindless twit.

1. Same here in SW Pennsylvania...

We stopped in Rite Aid and another small convenience store. We were both wearing our masks of course but 90% of the people we encountered were not. These dumbass trumphumpers are going to make this go on forever.

2. What state are you in?

I am traveling through Kentucky and just visited a Kroger. About 30% were in masks (all ages). I was in southern Alabama in May for 2 weeks - NO ONE WAS IN ANYTHING, i.e., masks, gloves, etc. C19 just "doesn't exist" down there. Walmart took down the plexiglass!

I don't post often so everyone is new to me. That was kind of you to answer! Have a good rest of the day!

4. Does your Walgreens have a drive thru?

My Walgreens does have a drive thru lane and when this pandemic hit I switched to going through it instead of going inside.

I am avoiding people as much as humanly possible.

I don't trust 'em.

10. The Walgreens I use has a drive thru for prescriptions but you can't get anything else there

The OP said her husband got cleaning supplies in addition to her prescription.

5. I was in Walgreens yesterday

to pick up prescriptions and sundries. Everyone was wearing a mask and customers who saw that if someone was in an aisle they needed access to,either went around the other way or waited until the aisle was clear - very much social distancing. There was a Purell dispenser near the entrance - and it had product in it!

I'm in New Jersey.

18. Does NJ require masks in public?

I am now in NC and they do NOT require it but recommend it.

23. Places of business require a mask

Masks in public are recommended.
They are required in parks although I've seen less compliance in parks. I live on a County park where masks are required - posted in several places, yet many ignore that, I guess because people figure they're outdoors. I don't walk there any more, but will walk through the neighborhood in the street instead.

11. In my Oregon county we have almost no cases, but...

...most people seem to be wearing a mask in the stores.

12. Most of it I fear is in Trump country like our state.

People stare at my husband and make comments because he wears a mask and when he is in store he wears gloves. He is a big guy so they are careful he says, but he can tell they think he is a snowflake. Like he says, he will be alive long after they are gone.

13. That's probably why you have almost no cases.

People there act like their lives depend on wearing a mask. They're an intelligent group who pays attention and is taking this very seriously, as they should.

14. Spiking high in Arizona

I go to grocery shop at our Fry's/Kroger about once a week. Each week it seemed like fewer and fewer people were wearing masks. It was down to way less than half the employees and customers wearing them.
However, today I noticed probably 65-70% of everybody in the store were masked. At least it shows there are those who are paying attention and taking this more seriously now. It made my day.

16. If you can use their app ask if they have curbside pickup

Our Walgreens advised us that all stores have it as far as they know. So wherever we go we can pickup the sundries and not have to leave the car. Then go through the drive thru to gather our meds.

Btw, the website says that their workers wear masks and they encourage customers to do the same.
Sounds like the management at your store is deliberately feckless.

17. 8 with masks 13 without here in NC

on my last visit to Harris Teeter where we get our groceries ordered online and delivered to the trunk of the car. Observed others going in and out of the store while waiting in the parking lot.

My general observations over the past several times were about the same. I also noticed a much higher percentage of people wearing masks among those over 50 and black people of all ages. Hardly any white people under 40 wore masks.

19. I'm happy to say most people wear masks around here. But,

we have a lot of tourists who do not.

Although, a lot of businesses are requiring you to wear a mask, or no service.

I'm in the beautiful state of Northern Michigan.

20. Weird. We were at HEB on Friday and hardly anyone had masks on, today more than half did ...

We think the maskless are weekenders. Note to self: no more Friday or Saturday shop until the season is over.

24. There was a church by where I live that was holding a summer camp.

At the church. There were maybe a couple of hundred people there. Older people and young kids. Not a single mask among them, and they were going through all parts of the church. COVIDIOTS.
