"Its about equality and everybody being treated the same because we are all human. Its been ignored for too long and that (is) my fault as well for not becoming more educated and staying silent.
If I lose fans, thats OK. Ive always spoken my mind. And thats from the heart."

Way to go Baker!

I'm joking! He's probably genuine.

I hope he doesn't try to blame it on the knee-stuff if it happens.

(7,917 posts)His speaking out is an issue - look at the comments he received for proof of that. As for his playing, he was runner-up for rookie of the year two years ago, then fell off during his sophomore season, which often happens, and which was not entirely his fault since he was saddled with an inept coaching staff and a bad OL. Even with that, he has said he needs to play better and plans to do that with a new coaching staff, revamped line and a new attitude for himself. Good for him on that and his attitude about current events.

(15,000 posts)I don't care if EVERY player takes a knee during the anthem. It's always been a non-issue for me!
My comment was a friendly jab at the Browns organization. The Bengals are terribly managed too.

(68,983 posts)Major market. Only team within 200 miles.
Makes the playoffs 2 out of every 5 years.
Given the cash flow, it should be a rarity to not make the playoffs.
But, no!

(15,000 posts)... the idea that major markets always have an advantage in sports.
Management at the top matters, just like this country as a whole while under Trump.

(68,983 posts)Top management was the ONLY problem!
A company that could have been Amazon when Bezos was in junior high disbanded their distribution systems, eliminated catalog sales, and overbuilt brick & mortar.
Those were 100% top management decisions.
If not for those idiotic decisions, Sears could be the world's 2nd biggest company!

(15,000 posts)I tend to prefer managers who "flip-flop" on ideas sometimes. It's often a more rational, scientific way of thinking... as long as it's not too flaky, I guess.
Basing decisions on evidence-based probabilities is best to me.
