Is anyone else terrified listening to this...

... expert on Rachel? She’s really painting a scary picture of the coming months and the spread of Covid. Much of the future spread across the US will likely be because we do not have a national strategy (Go to Florida where it’s “open” and come home to NYC and infect the dude at the bodega), and because the CDCis being stifled.

we are doing much better but it doesn't make me feel any better. Trump has to go if you are to survive this with anything left.

some other States that had diligently followed the guidelines and now have almost no new cases & re-infect THEM, how are those States going to feel about that, a bright light went on in my head. Yea, I was sitting back & telling myself, hey, if those States want to stick with DT & open up too early, too bad for them. I'm staying in for my protection, they can worry about themselves. But I realized THEY could come to MY AREA and start this mess all over again. DAMN DT! Why does he always make things worse than they have to be? Are we now going to have to ban all travel between States?

First it had to be nothing much at all and not disrupt the economy. Anything else and he thought he was screwed, so just play it that way. That failed to happen, so his desperation move was to just open back up and hope he got away with that. He had to have improving economic numbers well before the election. That couldn't happen if we stayed shut down.

I compared it to Hitler and the battle of Kursk in Russia. By the summer of 1943 the Russians were driving the German armies back and it was clear to the generals on the front that there was no stopping them. There was no chance of pulling back and defending and hoping for any kind of resolution that would keep Hitler in power. They had to strike a decisive blow to turn the tide of the war. It really wasn't possible, but Hitler had nothing to lose. It was worth it to him to risk it and lose a huge part of their military power, but he actually believed it could work.

It's Kushner, Barr and the rest of the collaborators that are really terrified. Trump probably thinks he'll come out of everything okay even if he does lose the election. Trump probably won't live long enough to see prison, but the rest are going down hard I hope.

As long as we have a deranged sociopath as president and governors who kowtow to their rebel flag carrying protestors, we're in a pickle. I'm trying to enjoy the nice weather, but in the back of my mind, I can't forget the image of those meat locker semis in New York. Here in Michigan, they were considering an ice arena for body storage due to lack of space. Definitely scared me. Our "ventilator king" president is beyond useless. Oh, and let's not forget the moron in Texas who told us there are more important things than living!
