Amy McGrath Takes Narrow Lead Over Mitch McConnell in Kentucky Senate Race, Poll Shows

https://www.newsweek.com/amy-mcgrath-takes-narrow-lead-over-mitch-mcconnell-kentucky-senate-race-poll-shows-1509691

Democratic senatorial candidate Amy McGrath appears to have a very narrow lead over Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in Kentucky's race, according to a recent poll.

The polling, which was conducted by RMG Group, shows McGrath, a former Marine fighter pilot, with the support of 41 percent of voters, while McConnell is backed by 40 percent. However, the polling also showed that when voters are informed that McGrath supports congressional term limits while McConnell does not, her lead over the Republican jumps significantly.

With the candidates' positions on term limits factored in, McGrath was backed by 45 percent of respondents, while McConnell was supported by just 30 percent. But 17 percent of those surveyed were still undecided, and 8 percent said they'd vote for a different candidate.

lose with a leftie than win with a moderate. It's why AOC will never be a leader in the Democratic party.

I had my last conversation with her a few weeks ago and she told me she would not vote for Biden or any of the "regular democrats". I said great, call me when you sober up.

McConnell will use every means at his disposal, fair or foul*, to save his seat. A shit-ton of money is going to be poured into Kentucky to prop up McConnell. And the natural inclination of a large segment of the population is to keep the incumbent. Those are some tough hurdles to clear for any candidate.

But it's encouraging that the polls are this close. It should be alarming to McConnell that there are still a lot of "undecideds."

*Mostly foul.

As for the push by the progressive arm of the Democratic Party to not have McGrath, they often confuse their ideology with reality in winning in a red state. I dare say, we do not need litmus test for who runs as a democrat.

vs the value of removing republicans from the position of senate majority while removing McConnel from the senate itself.

Logic is hard for some to square with their passion.

That means that the Russian National Committee will be pumping a ton of money where they never thought they would have too.

And it will become even sweeter if we turn the Senate and he gets relegated to Minority Leader. That is, if he becomes Minority Leader.
