Trump's latest attempt to tag Biden as a radical flops

Politico

Progressives did not revolt after the Democratic nominee rejected the "defund the police" movement.

Joe Biden declared he opposed a growing movement on the left to defund police departments.

President Donald Trump and Republicans are determined to make him own it anyway.

Trump lit into Biden on Twitter, painting him as the leader of the “radical left” and responsible for a movement that celebrates anarchy, coddles “antifa” and demonizes law enforcement.

But the swiftness and clarity of Biden's dismissal, which came as CBS, ABC’s “The View” and other media outlets were peppering Democratic politicians with questions about defunding the police, suggests Biden's team wanted to head off an issue it saw as politically poisonous.

1. Smart Move

It’s gonna be a bare knuckles political brawl between here and Nov 3rd and I’m glad to see Joe going after this asshole every step of the way before any of their dirtbag moves gathers any steam.

4. Joe Biden has been in politics for a LONG time

And he fully understands how to punch back and not allow his opponent to define him.

2. "peppering Democratic politicians"

Sure, leave it to the MSM to stir things up.

6. Should have said "pepper spraying" Democrats

The media treats Democrats like the police have treated those protesting for justice.

They treat Retrumplicans like the police have treated the folks protesting to get a haircut.

3. "Defund" is an unfortunate term...

that means different things to different people, and allows room for the RW echo chamber to forge "anti-police" memes.

Biden is a long time moderate progressive. People know that. Portraying him as some screaming liberal socialist is unconvincing.

7. A good move by Biden

That “defund” shit is awful.

I also appreciate the way you post your daughters work. I don’t always agree with her analysis, but she’s definitely talented

8. They were right to distance themselves from the "defund" memo. This is not unlike the

what happened with Rev Wright under a President Obama

Who ever wins the swing states wins the election

If trump wins another four year the country is lost

9. "Reallocating funding"

It's the sort of thing Republicans always say when they want to defund social security, medicare, medicaid, education, food stamps and every other government program.
