My furlough is over!!!
My company is recalling me and daily work resumed yesterday. My savings are depleted and credit cards are maxed, but I did not have to touch my retirement or my daughters' college fund.
This will put the kibosh on discretionary spending for a good while, though.... Thanks to those who offered support as I was panicking.

2. Curious?
No unemployment? Just asking as I've been off since February because of this thing.

4. I did get unemployment.
But it was well below my usual income. And it took a while getting here. Most of the debt I incurred was from the 5 weeks it took to get my first unemployment payment.

8. Sorry
Happy for you to return to work! I'm getting about a third above usual pay, although I receive union benefits as well. It will take alot to guarantee any kind of safety, sanitation on my jobs. Fortunately/unfortunately I was on UE before the shit hit the fan, trade shows were cancelled before the stay at home orders.

13. I wish you the best!
Glad to hear your folks are looking out for you! Sole more good news is that the managing partner of my company said they are looking to see what ways they can help us out to clear incurred debt.

14. Fantastic!
Now that is something truly worth celebrating!! Priceless to have an employer that values employees welfare.

15. Good for you. My work has not called yet. I am getting a bit concerned. But financially I am ok
with unemployment and that does not end until July. I do not want to go back to my job anyway because all this is just going to come back in fall and this job is dealing with lots of guest all shift, in small place, and not enough distance. I figure I will start looking beginning of July.
