Biden's VP pick will be the Party Favorite in 2024.

Who will that be? And how will that play then?

2. C'mon.

The OP is just asking us to speculate and discuss. We do a lot of that here.

3. That was a VERY rude response

and entirely uncalled for. DUers often ask questions for responses.

5. That's a long way off, I'm more concerned about this election

Yes, Joe will be four years older.
Who knows what will happen between now and then?
I want to focus on winning this election, all up and down the ticket.
GOTV!

6. The VP pick should be the person who helps most this year

Any other consideration is irrelevant if the ticket doesnít win in November.

12. You don't know that

Biden May run for a second term and even if he doesnít there is no guarantee that the sitting VP will run. Biden didnít 4 years ago and Cheney didnít. The only consideration is to win this year.

14. I think Poppy Bush may be the only VP in the modern era to succeed

A two term president. I don't count Truman because he was president when he ran for president due to FDR's death. So being the VP is no guarantee.

11. The Party Favorite in *2028*, I would hope...

...because 2024 would imply either that we lose this November, or that Biden steps down after one term. And, although I know of some who think Biden should pledge to only serve one term, I think that's a terrible idea. It would essentially make him an instant lame duck -- Republicans would know that all they need to do is block him for four years, and they'd be handed a golden chance to regain the White House without a Democratic incumbent.
