(17,530 posts)The virus has been defeated, the economy is in a greatest recovery the world has ever seen, and peace has been restored, and only he could have done it.
This administration should have an approval rating in single digits. I don't see the polling numbers as any sign that we will be rid of the monster in Nov.

(15,751 posts)the problem.
The virus, economy, and militaristic viciousness, are now trump problems - this is starting to sink in to the trump supporter 'cons.
People will pay increasingly closer attention to the trump problems.
[Right now there is a reflexive hope that the virus and economy are doing better - realities should limit these upstarts before long].

(21,945 posts)where his average disapproval rating dips just briefly below 50%?
That was his 9/11 moment when coronavirus was in the early stages and the nation wanted to rally round the flag. Pretty much every other world leader managed to spin that moment out into sustained high approval ratings by responding to coronavirus in a compassionate, science-based way.
Meanwhile, Trump fired his task force and started waffling about bleach. Just like everything else he touches, the political moment that he could have capitalized on fizzled and died. Now hes trending back down again.

His very lowest point was late 2017. That's when he was below 40, his first year. In November 2017, Steve Cohen D-TN introduced brilliant articles of impeachment that even included foreign and domestic emolument clause violations. This was the point he was more ripe for the taking, with approval so low. Since then, gradual rise, surely people in general thinking, "well he must not be that bad if the Dems are giving him a pass. ". Sadly, we let him get away with way too much IMHO.

(42,770 posts)To literally give up and not even try.
Do also know they've probably got a fudge factor if election held too. Like no one would ever believe it if he won MA. But how many points do the polls have to show him behind, say in Iowa, where no one would believe that he could have actually "won" ?

(421 posts)that below that starts to cut into his base.
My opinion is that he can't survive that.
Only hope that he bails.

(42,770 posts)Some kind of hardproof that he consciously did something to keep PPE or masks from certain people?
Still think our strongest argument now is... "Do you really want THIS man who played favorites with PPE, vents to be in charge of the future vaccine? And you live somewhere he doesn't like? And the lives of your loved ones depend on it? "
