The United States of America has Become a Parody
Everyday the Toonpublicans come up with something more bizarre I just read a post on facebook and it said that the Muslim Brotherhood turned over OBL so President Obama could be reelected and that he may really still be alive. I'm not kidding.

2. It's really like 7x24 Saturday Night Live skits, anymore. Or a reality show, it's embarrassing
on the world stage.

4. Disagree "the government" of The United States of America has Become a Parody. We the People are
still the most admired multicultural society the world has ever seen.
If we fail as often seems our destiny, then there is no hope for a world in which peoples of all types can live together in some sort of peaceful harmony. |

5. Most admired multicultural society?
I sympathize with the general sentiment and the big idea of peaceful harmony, but most admired? Multicultural?
It's not so easy to forget that there was actually greater cultural variety in America before the European monoculture invasion. If we want to discuss multicultural global society, we cannot start from European colonialism and cultural imperialism and the expectation of all of us becoming good Europeans or Euro-Americans. |

10. It's not my choice
But my cultural background and experience as half indigenous, half europeanized has lead me to talk about anarchy, horizontal democracy, open localism, cultural relativism as ethical guide, deep ecology, freedom from money or at least debt and interest, many things with common thread that is hard to pinpoint with a single word. Freedom comes perhaps closest.

6. Basically agree but would phrase it as
About Half of "the government" of The United States of America has Become a Parody. (You know which half I'm talking about!)

I think the US may have become a parody the first time someone renewed Limbaugh's contract. |
