And not just to graduating seniors. You can tell he actually means what he's saying, and not just holding forth for his own sake.

7. I felt so much hope watching this yesterday

And some sadness remembering how things used to be.

He was addressing the Obama generation. The graduating seniors knew Obama as president for most of their lives.

To me Eisenhower was always a kind of father figure because he was president when I was a kid. Yes, my folks were republican, but politics was never discussed so I never saw him as anything but a leader of my country, and things were pretty good. I think thatís how most high schoolers look on Obama now, except those raised in racist homes.

10. In a way he could take the wheel.

If he was televised often with words of intelligent wisdom, like Cuomo but Obama
would have a larger audience, he could take charge. People would be inspired.
It would drive trump crazier.
