However, the reality of it is that the shot callers are guys with power, guns, cell phones, computers and access to crew weapons are a different story. The mob might believe it but the leaders use any excuse to achieve their goals and improve their position of power.

In a one on one, over chai, these guys will be straight with you and tell you that they aren't that devout. Religion secures their position and is a means to an end.

We see this in our own culture and they just take it to the next level.
