Today's Costco report (Eugene, Or)
Geezer hour starts at 8:30. I got there around 9:15. No line, everybody was masked. Small crowd inside. But some people were impatient and not respecting the 6 foot buffer. I’d stop and wait for the person ahead in the aisle to select their item and some jerk would just cut in. Got beef, chicken, pork and fish. Limit of three meat items per customer but I couldn’t fit any more in my freezer than what I bought. Prices were a little higher on the meat. Lots of TP and paper towels. But I didn’t need any and I’m not hoarding. No Clorox wipes. Pretty successful and painless. I’m set for another 2-3 weeks.

3. I didn't stop to read any signs
But I’d heard at my last visit two weeks ago that it was coming. 100% shoppers and workers were masked. Everybody seemed fine with it.

4. Ours was completely out of raw chicken
last week - I think they had 3 fryers and that was it.

5. I have given going to Costco in person
for the time being, and probably for the next year or more. If I can't order online and have it delivered then I don't need it or will order it from somewhere else.
Ditto the grocery store. |

7. Talked to our Costco manager yesterday
about some stock outs. Problems are all Supply Chain related. Products coming from Mexico whether Food or Hard Goods are stuck in Rail yards because of the Covid spreading like wild fire and Workers are not coming in to work. And China Goods are just now being loaded on the Ships. His Buyers are saying we will see some sort of Normal in September, mean while,it is strictly a logistic problem.
