(63,221 posts)However if someone on Trump's staff purposely chose to play this song to troll the people in this plant and the rest of us, it's absolutely evil.

(36,374 posts)Axl Rose, a frequent critic of the Trump administration, turned to Twitter Saturday to explain why Guns N Roses music has played at the presidents recent rallies.
Just so ya know
GNR like a lot of artists opposed to the unauthorized use of their music at political events has formally requested r music not b used at Trump rallies or Trump associated events, Rose tweeted.
Unfortunately the Trump campaign is using loopholes in the various venues blanket performance licenses which were not intended for such craven political purposes, without the songwriters consent.

(3,473 posts)It is possible that the plant plays music for their workers and that song just happened to be playing maybe from Pandora or someone's Spotify playlist. But I wouldn't put it past the Trump team to do this intentionally.

(7,733 posts)From a New Yorker piece in 2016, explaining how Trumps rally music is selected. Basically, the more inappropriate, the better.
Donald Trump has a rule at his rallies: for the fifty minutes before he takes the stage, the only music that can be played is from a set list that he put together. The list shows a sensitive side, mixing in Elton Johns Tiny Dancer and music from Cats and The Phantom of the Opera. But its heavy on the Rolling StonesSympathy for the Devil, You Cant Always Get What You Want, and the famously impolitic Brown Sugar. The young volunteer in charge of music for one rally sent me the full Trump-curated playlist and asked for requests. Remember, he said, the more inappropriate for a political event, the better.

Playing this is a wink and a nod to the cult who thinks Trumps genocide will only kill Trumps enemies. Ever the showman, Trump wouldnt overlook the irony of the selection. He really wants to kill most of us.
