My Dad a WW II Navy veteran said, son, I'm glad you are standing up for your rights, BUT you have to understand your rights end when they start to infringe on others' rights.

He said let me show it to you this way.

He raised his fist (in a non-threatening way) and slowly moved it toward my nose when it was millimeters from my nose he said: "my right to strike someone ends when I infringe on their rights to not be harmed".

It was a life lesson for me. And hopefully for my kids.
