Did anyone hear the question by the FOX reporter to Trump at yesterday's briefing?

Last edited Thu Apr 16, 2020, 06:40 AM - Edit history (1)

About how the virus may have started?

He asked if there was any intelligence to verify that it started from the Wuhan laboratory and that some lady that worked there had sex with some guy who had gone to the "wet market" and that was how the virus began? I don't recall if Trump gave any specific response?

Did anyone else see that segment?

1. I remember the question being asked.

I don't remember his answer; it was another one if his angry tirades.

2. Coronavirus: Trump says 'we'll see' about Wuhan lab claims

Coronavirus: Trump says 'we'll see' about Wuhan lab claims (BBC)

President Donald Trump has said "we'll see" about unsubstantiated claims that coronavirus originated in a Chinese laboratory.

In a report attributed to multiple unnamed sources, Fox News said the coronavirus was a naturally occurring pathogen that leaked from a Wuhan facility because of lax safety protocols, infecting an intern, who then transmitted it to her boyfriend.

In the president's daily briefing on Wednesday, he was asked by Fox News reporter John Roberts if he could confirm the cable network's exclusive. "Well, I don't want to say that, John, but I will tell you more and more we're hearing the story and we'll see," Mr Trump replied.

3. "We'll see" is a convenient LYING PHRASE trump uses to insert his wacky ideas

into the political dialogue. Once that’s accomplished, the idea becomes as good as gold - fake news created by tRump, assumed by the cultists to be a known fact.

5. Good poker players

look for that "tell."

For IQ45:

1. "We'll see" = "I don't have a clue but if somebody asks me about it again soon I might have a bullshit answer."

2. "Many people are saying" = "Here's some bullshit that I've had in my head for a while and I have no idea what I'm talking about."

11. Don't forget "no one could have imagined."

Translation: everyone on Earth knew about this, except me.

6. Here's what WashPost reported on it

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/04/15/trump-coronavirus-briefing-takeaways/
Trump was asked about this by Fox News’s John Roberts, who cited “multiple sources” saying the U.S. government has a high degree of confidence that the virus came from a virology lab in Wuhan. Lax safety protocols infected an intern, Roberts said according to Fox’s reporting, “who later infected her boyfriend, and then went to the wet market in Wuhan, where it began to spread.”

On Tuesday, Washington Post opinion columnist Josh Rogin reported that the State Department was very concerned about a Wuhan lab’s safety protocols as it studied coronaviruses in bats. Rogin said diplomats wrote cables in early 2018 warning that “the lab’s work on bat coronaviruses and their potential human transmission represented a risk of a new SARS-like pandemic.”

Roberts asked Trump about all this on Wednesday, and Trump didn’t rule it out, though he tried not to comment on it.

“I don’t want to say that, John, but I will tell you more and more, we’re hearing the story,” he said, without elaborating on what that story is. “We are doing a very thorough examination of this horrible situation.” He declined to say whether he discussed the lab with China’s president.

8. Here's a 2017 Newsletter on the labs...

https://www.nature.com/news/polopoly_fs/1.21487!/menu/main/topColumns/topLeftColumn/pdf/nature.2017.21487.pdf?origin=ppub

A laboratory in Wuhan is on the cusp of
being cleared to work with the world’s
most dangerous pathogens. The move
is part of a plan to build between five and seven
biosafety level-4 (BSL-4) labs across the Chinese mainland by 2025, and has generated
much excitement, as well as some concerns.
Some scientists outside China worry about
pathogens escaping, and the addition of a
biological dimension to geopolitical tensions
between China and other nations. But Chinese microbiologists are celebrating their entrance
to the elite cadre empowered to wrestle with
the world’s greatest biological threats.
...
BSL-4 is the highest level of biocontainment:
its criteria include filtering air and treating water and waste before they leave the laboratory, and stipulating that researchers change
clothes and shower before and after using lab
facilities. Such labs are often controversial. The
first BSL-4 lab in Japan was built in 1981, but
operated with lower-risk pathogens until 2015,
when safety concerns were finally overcome.
...
But worries surround the Chinese lab, too.
The SARS virus has escaped from high-level
containment facilities in Beijing multiple
times, notes Richard Ebright, a molecular
biologist at Rutgers University
in Piscataway,

10. Of course the theory would require...

A woman to cause the destruction of humanity. It's as if Eve took that apple all over again.
