(204,807 posts)I'm guessing it won't follow the usual format, but will be a series of interviews and it looks like he'll be having mostly regular guests though I don't recall seeing the mayor before. Should be interesting and I'm glad that he's still doing the show like so many others are even without an audience and speaking with his guests remotely.
He has become an embarrassment

(63,221 posts)Looking forward to Max Brooks and Willie Nelson. Garcetti sounds interesting, although I don't know much about him other than what I have read in a Wiki article. Seth is hit or miss. Bernie, meh.
Thanks Rhiannon!

(204,807 posts)He's the only one I don't recall having seen on the show before. Bill is virtually inviting them into his home, after all, LOL. Should be interesting.

(204,807 posts)Looks like he's not having anyone on that he plans on arguing with, LOL. And that's a change I can appreciate.

(22,990 posts)I'd doubt Bill or Bernie - or anyone, really - will be less irritable and raw than usual. Maher will likely pose the "why are you still in this?" question, so looking forward to how that'll play out.

(204,807 posts)Especially since most of them, like the other late night shows we've been seeing, will be coming from everyone's homes. Bill will be Bill, no doubt, he can't help that, LOL, but possibly aside from the mayor, they're all repeat guests that he knows pretty well. And I think that Bill does much of the writing himself, anyway, so the show reflects his opinions.

(204,807 posts)Not a RWer in the bunch this time around. We have enough to be stressed about the crisis in this country without having to deal with that. That was a good decision and I'm also glad to see him back. Everything has changed so much overnight that repeats seem irrelevant.

(204,807 posts)That's really the point of the show. But he doesn't seem to have anyone on this week that he's likely to argue with which is a relief. Things are stressful enough these days.

(2,227 posts)When I lived in New York I voted for him over Hillary in the 2016 primary, because I wanted to make a statement that would not hurt Hillary.
But Bernie is now way past his shelf expiration date. Since he can't, or won't, take control of his, shall I say, more "ardent", supporters, he is causing much more damage than good, to the party.
I don't think he CAN control those supporters, which means they aren't real democrats, but are of the Jill Stein shit-stirring variety, along with russian trolls/bots. Lots of low dollar donations could easily be funded by Vlad. (My own conspiracy...)

(204,807 posts)I know that the show's popular here and that not everyone has HBO - or even TV - so I started posting it 3 years ago. We used to see it posted, but with a warning that it would disappear, so I choose the official version that will still be available next week or next year.
