Every GOP Senator that voted against convicting & removing trump on Feb 5 has blood on their hands.

They knew what was happening in the world - folks were getting sick and dying and it was getting closer and closer to us here in the United States. AND they knew he was incompetent in every single way - still they let him stay in office knowing that he did not have what it took to keep us safe. They did this to us. As much as I hate trump I think I might hate them more...

9. Pence would have done better.

I don't like him, but I don't think he has the need to upstage the experts, and we would not be subjected to these god awful two-hour pressers.

4. Would be interesting to see a time table of

Committee briefings ... HHS for one would have been briefed. Definitely McConnell should have been briefed. And use this for Senate campaign ads. “Senator McConnell knew x date and still voted to acquit”....

8. Timeline information from George Conway

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/03/31/impeachment-didnt-distract-coronavirus-preparations-trump-did/

Excerpts:

Look at the calendar. The impeachment trial ended on Feb. 5. In reality, it was over before it even started, thanks in large part to McConnell. The only drama was about whether there’d be any witnesses — and that ended on Jan. 31, when the Senate voted not to hear testimony. That left plenty of time to deal with the virus.

[skipping some paragraphs]

McConnell’s own colleagues got the message, too. Throughout the early weeks of the crisis, senior administration officials repeatedly briefed senators about the coronavirus. What senators were told was “chilling,” said Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), but the administration wasn’t asking for more funds. “Bottom line: they aren’t taking this seriously enough,” because the administration made “no request for ANY emergency funding, which is a big mistake,” Murphy tweeted — on Feb. 5. Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr (R-N.C.) found enough time in mid-February, apparently prompted by concerns about the emerging pandemic, to sell 33 stocks worth up to $1.7 million, triggering an insider-trading investigation by the Justice Department and the Securities and Exchange Commission. (Burr denies wrongdoing.)

And here's the tweet from Murphy:

Just left the Administration briefing on Coronavirus. Bottom line: they aren't taking this seriously enough.

Notably, no request for ANY emergency funding, which is a big mistake. Local health systems need supplies, training, screening staff etc. And they need it now.

7. True. But they don't care. That's how low they've become.

They’ve hitched their wagon to Trump (who REALLY doesn’t give a damn), and that’s that. Fox, Sinclair, and others will cover their behinds.

A recent Gallup poll has Trump at 60% approval for how he’s “handling” this crisis. So Republicans aren’t worried.

It’s completely insane.

10. I hate to admit it, but Mother's Boy would have done a much better job

He would have taken it more seriously, and not spread misinformation at the outset.

And not denied medical supplies to states that didn't pledge fealty to him.

And not used it to benefit his golf resorts.

etc.

14. Agree and our people should hammer them over the deaths like mad for atleast the next

8+ years as they share the blame for each and every death along with Trump.
