100,000 is not an acceptable number. It is a disaster.

Stop the political game.

We are in the middle of an epidemic. This is no time to play politics. Stop saying that 100,000 is the number of deaths we can expect under "perfect conditions".

We are all threatened by this virus. We want it stopped. There is no acceptable number for the deaths to come. Don"t make up any arbitrary number for political reasons. It is wrong and immoral.

Why are we accepting this death rate? I thought we were the greatest country in the universe?

2. The problem is that the past cannot be undone.

Trump was in denial since January. Those months could have been used to get ahead of this. At this point, those months are lost and cannot be regained. If we responded perfectly right now (actually last week), the projected deaths are from 100K to 250K. That is the best for which we can hope at this point.

Worse, there is no reason to believe that Trump and his cult members will suddenly begin to act perfectly. We should anticipate the total number of deaths will be much higher.
