Fact check: Coronavirus did not spread in the US because of an anti-Trump conspiracy

The claim: The coronavirus outbreak in the United States is the result of a coordinated effort against President Donald Trump.

In a March 10 episode of the podcast “The NutriMedical Report,” commentator Josh Bernstein claimed the spread of COVID-19 in the United States was the result of a conspiracy between the Democratic Party and Chinese government.

“I believe that because Russia didn’t work, and Ukraine didn’t work, and impeachment didn’t work, they are so hell-bent on destroying this country (and) this president to gain back power that they probably worked with the Chinese government, and they devised this plan,” Bernstein said.

"The NutriMedical Report" is an alternative health podcast hosted by Dr. Bill Deagle, a former medical practitioner who promotes health products. He frequently hosts commentators on the podcast to discuss a range of issues including health, politics and current events.

What did a regulatory body catch him at?

So many of these grifting shit-heels have quite personal grudges against government and society....

The problem with conspiracy theory devotees is that it is religion-like. I know one and it is one thing to be "interested" in all the wildest ones and another to belief them without any substantial evidence and see the world through them.

A report like that would, of course, be a government plant under their sacred gospel of: "Well, that's what THEY want you to believe!"

Trump is a good example of using that mentality to control and motivate people who are not at all very discerning, highly paranoid and often rather delusional. There are holy words that they attach to everything that comes along: 5G, bio-weapons, plot, globalist, Illuminati, genocide, etc. The feeling special part, (I know what's REALLY going on) trumps their reasoning, common sense and trust in factual information. They are also prone to being lazy about looking anything up to find out for themselves and often, there is plenty of information to debunk spurious claims.

Also, Putin and other countries know just how it works and pump out a smörgåsbord of manipulative conspiracy theories to manipulate and divide Americans. Oh, there are real conspiracies, but they leave evidence. In this case, the real conspiracy is the theories themselves because they are often a form of propaganda.

When something major does happen, the conspiracy theory devotees will probably be the last to know what it was really about, these days. Oh, how they love to spread the true true truth, too.
