I'm an overweight retired diabetic with high blood pressure who will be 65 in June.
In other words, the Corvid virus has pinned a big target sign to my puffy dimpled Irish ass.
I went to a doctor's appointment today and then to pick up a few groceries. After I got home, my wife, who is a young sprite in her mid 50s, and my soon to be 20 year old son and I have agreed that my big ass (and I have a BIG ass) is staying right here in the house until this shit is OVER. I don't care that Dolt45 said that everything will be back to "normal" by Easter. His primary concern (as I've stated before) is that he wants to make sure that the Easter Bunny puts lots of goodies in his little basket because he lied and said that he's been a good boy. I can, if I tried, think of a time or two that I complied with something that Dubya wanted us to do. I will do NOTHING at he behest of Donald J Trump. I've been using #notmypresident since he was sworn in. I will never use "President" as an adjective before the proper noun "Trump" in reference to HIM. I will use a term that my mother used in the later years of her life. If God spares me until Election Day, I will be at the polls at opening time so that I can be one of the first people in my town to cast a vote to kick his puffy "239" pound ass OUT of our White House. While I rarely wish ill on anyone, I wish nothing but misfortune on he and his equally miserable offspring. As far as I'm concerned, they can all go and piss up a rope. #notmypresident RESIST

I look forward to some family picnics at Lake Saint George up here this Summer.

21. My wife, son and I moved here from the Philly suburbs in 2002.
I was really popular wearing my Eagles t shirt before the Super Bowl a couple of years ago.
Where are you now? What prompted your move? We came here on our honeymoon in 1998 and decided to move here just for the sheer unvarnished hell of it. RESIST |

2. Perhaps take this as an opportunity for some self improvement?
I have couple extra pounds myself and I've been doing some less useful conference calls on my treadmill.

4. I'll be doing some exercising.
My wife and I are planning on ordering the pedaling piece of exercise equipment that we see advertised on tv. Offhand I only remember that it starts with a "C".
Next check's budget. RESIST |

5. Dr. Sten Ekberg & Dr. Berg videos on YouTube. Lost 60lbs, was hypertensive critical, pre-diabetic.
.
I also had high ocular pressure, fatty liver, back and knee pain, blood traces in urine... and in 7 months completely gone. I'm now in skinny jeans. What did it? A Ketogenic 16 carbs/day meal plan with an 18/6 daily intermittent fast. ZERO exercise. I could not exercise because when I did, my feet, ankles, knees, hip or back would go out. Now that my visceral fat is low-normal, and it's been a year now and no fatty liver. . |

13. Eat dinner, coffee for breakfast, skip past lunch and only have a 6 hour window to eat.
.
You'll find that you'll start stretching it to a 20/4 fast and then do some 1 to 2 day fasts. Fasting causes your body to not only burn more energy to allow a person to find food, but mental clarity increases, brain fog disappears, autophagy kicks in to high gear where your body repurposes failing cells and cleans up other body waste and converts it to fuel, the immune system kicks in and searches out certain forms of cancer, and your body will actually start to create stem cells and you can actually regenerate brain cells. . |

14. Thanks. My kids were worried I would die before 60 and I had to change my lifestyle.
.
I couldn't believe how easy it was. The first few days you go through was is called the keto flu, where your body feels like the flu is setting in, but not severe, just like the onset feelings. This is when you know that your body is changing from a carbohydrate fuel to a ketone fuel source, which is more natural for your brain. For Diabetic T1, you need less insulin or metformin. For T2, you need less insulin and you can actually repair your pancreas along with longer intermittent fasts. It's not in a full longitudinal study, but indications are that not only can the liver repair itself, but the kidneys and pancreas can. I am neither, just was severely insulin resistant and I was able to reverse that. . |

6. Listen to your son & wife. My sons & I had to do an intervention on my husband
to get him not to go on his weekly trip to Cost Co. We've been sheltered in place for 2 weeks. I have to thank Rachel Maddow for scaring the crap out of me at the same time Trump was calling it a hoax.
My son was telling how important it is to get in the best shape possible to battle this disease. Sooooo I'm eating a salad right now (to use up perishables, get fiber, and reduce calories). I love my family. My other son got me a stationary bike stand for the garage, but the trouble with that is I don't have a bike anymore. He does have a weight set-up out there he'll help me with. Take care, and we can do this. |

Does it make a difference? If the condition is controlled , why would the person be more vulnerable?
