Renters are not protected from eviction during this crisis.

As millions of Americans are being told to stay inside their homes, eviction notices are still being issued by landlords across the country.
President Trump on Wednesday declared that the Department of Housing and Urban Development would be ďproviding immediate relief to renters and homeowners by suspending all foreclosures and evictions until the end of April."

But Trump misstated what is actually occurring.

The federal actions announced last week would protect more than 30 million homeowners from eviction, but they do not cover the nationís 40 million renters.

2. State of WA working on it, local and state-wide...

suspending the right to evict for a couple of months. Could still be kicked out for "cause" but it can't be on a whim or for non-payment.

6. Here in CA, the Gov left it up to the 540 towns and local authorities,

which is ridiculous. People could be evicted in one town and not in the town next door.

There was a bill introduced in the legislature to make the ban statewide, but the legislature is taking a 3-week vacation (WTF!!), and didnít vote on it.
