close schools and kids are out and about
I'm wondering if it's a wash. If you think these kids are at home, with parents, baking cookies, just waiting it out like a Norman Rockwell painting- your wrong

1. They're all out in the street
in front of my house right now...there’s at least 10 of them playing basketball.

2. They will not all be mashed together
Like they are at school. If they play outside, that is the best for them as the air is circulating. When my 6 year old neighbor used to visit me everyday after school, I caught everything that was going around there. I swear schools for kids are incubators for viruses. The air systems are usually contributors.

3. I subbed for many years. The first year I
swear I stayed sick. By the end of the third year I was never sick. I’d caught every cold there was, or close to it.

11. Maybe the concoction of viruses
you had will somehow confer immunity for you! Let's hope so.

10. One of the kiddos playing in the street is mine.
It’s spring break and we cancelled our trip because of the virus. I am so torn as to whether to let him run it wide open with his peeps or make him come in. This the first warm sunny day we’ve had since last October. So far the moms on the street agree that kids can play in the street but can’t go into each others homes. We may nix the street play if the virus escalates here. Goddamn this thing.

4. They're most likely inside playing video games.
I take a daily walk through a very nice neighborhood and rarely see kids playing outside in the best of circumstances.
