Two thoughts for DU...

or maybe more than 2.

People who don't have the credentials to give health advice shouldn't give it.
People who don't have the credentials to give financial advice i.e. the stock market, shouldn't give it.
If people can't help themselves, then they should make clear that they don't have the credentials and it's merely their personal opinion.

There's enough bad information swirling around (starting with the WH) we don't need to add to it on DU.

There are tons of people out there who are worried, we don't need to turn that worry into panic. We owe it to our DU community to stay calm and rational during this difficult time.

1. Agree completely.

BS is BS, regardless of the source. The intentions of some may be good (though, I often have doubts), but posting hyperbolic opinions as "facts" doesn't accomplish anything. It just adds confusion and tension to already challenging situations.

5. If unsure of what your are reading/what some are stating, you need to go google multiple sources.

to confirm. That includes some of the so-called experts on cable.

Bottom line. Check reliable sources. Not blogs, not facebook, not emailed postings forwarded.
