hand sanitizer available
I just discovered that office supply stores (e.g. Staples, Office Depot) have hand sanitizer and will sell limited quantities to each individual. I tried to order some, but the website told me they won't ship, that I have to go to the store. I'll go tomorrow.
Given my commitment to DU I want to share this info with all of you ![]()

10. A CDC notice the other day says it must be alcohol-based and not a chloride derived sanitizer.

9. You can make your own
https://www.diynatural.com/homemade-hand-sanitizer/
Ingredients 5-10 drops lavender essential oil (where to buy 100% pure lavender EO) 30 drops tea tree essential oil (find 100% pure tea tree EO here) 3 ounces high-proof vodka (we use Everclear), or rubbing alcohol can be substituted 1 ounce pure aloe vera gel (where to buy 100% pure aloe vera gel) ¼ teaspoon Vitamin E oil (helps soften hands!) Instructions Add essential oils and Vitamin E oil to a small glass bowl or container and swirl to mix. Add alcohol to the oils and swirl again. Combine this mixture with the aloe vera gel and mix well. Shake gently before each use. (Sanitizer should last several months with the addition of Vitamin E and alcohol to help preserve.) |

11. Good recipe
I think I'd just use the last three ingredients myself.

17. use glycerin
food grade of course. The aloe is soothing, but not essential. The oils are more important.

16. When at home just wash with water and a good hand soap.
It will dissolve the lipid coating of the virus and inactivate it.
Conserve the hand sanitizers. |
