Doctor at NY Presbyterian Hospital calls Coronavirus testing accessibility a scandal

“I’m here to tell you, right now, at one of the busiest hospitals in the country, I don’t have it at my finger tips,” he said. “I still have to make my case, plead to test people. This is not good.

1. I concur with the good doctor

It is UNBEFUCKINLIEVABLE

a scandal, an embarrassment, a shock and a shame and probably a tragedy before this nightmare is over

2. I just saw him being interviewed on MSNBC this morning.

He believes that the lack of testing kits is part of the trump cover-up. Disgusting.

3. He said that CDC mistakes have set us back 3 weeks on testing

He was on CNBC earlier and said that CDC first had a faulty test, then when states wanted to roll out their own better tests they were prevented from doing that before CDC relented but we lost 3 weeks of proper testing. Says there are thousands of undiagnosed cases and we will know that by next week as testing improves.

4. I've heard rumors from some Docs in Kansas City...that they have people

quarantined in hospitals here but that they don't have any testing kits in the entire state of Missouri, so that is why we aren't seeing more cases.

If they can't test for it, the number of people that officially are infected by it is kept artificially low.

5. This is a huge problem.

A scandal actually - it's morally wrong.
