Any official guidance on what a suspected infected person should do? Who to call?

ER and doctor's office can be contaminated. Haven't heard anything about this.

2. I read this link this afternoon. It gives you a guide that looks to me pretty common sense.

https://www.webmd.com/lung/news/20200228/preparing-for-coronavirus-dos-and-donts?src=RSS_PUBLIC

Basically they tell you to call your doctor for advice. They will tell you what the protocol is for your area and be able to set the proper gears in motion for you. Take a min. to read it.

3. A person who suspects they are infected

should probably make a few phone calls, like the ER and ask them how you should proceed in getting help. That way they can prepare for someone who needs to be isolated upon arrival, it takes a little set up time.

ETA: and take the advice in comment #2

4. ER's and hospitals can always spread infections. But if you have a temp of 101 or over, you should

not wait to get worse. Stay hydrated. See your doctor or urgent care or go to ER. People die from
complications. Even with the flu. Especially if older or other health problems. Just read other post. Yes. Call ahead. If in doubt, call advice nurse.

6. I'd remain at isolated home while calling for instructions.

Seeking medical care ASAP if symptoms seem to get worse is advised by everyone, though. Apparently cases that are going to become serious can progress very quickly.

Good news is that the overall mortality rate may be below 1%. Because it's so communicable, though, there's still the possibility that local and regional hospitals could fill up and the numbers of deaths become large anyway.

10. Ireland has drive up testing, but only at the request

of the MD. You just stay in your car. Doesn’t answer you question but I found it fascinating.

12. I read in Time mag today

that a guy from Louisiana caught it in China and called his mom (a nurse in the US) and she told him to take prescription antiviral and prescription asthma medications and it helped him feel better within about a week.
