The female's family brought her into the NorthBay hospital. They drove. No ambulance. CDC didn't contact hospital until after UC Davis test came back positive. UC Davis alerted NorthBay, not CDC.

Patient presented with flu-like symptoms but it was not until days later that physicians thought her condition had worsened enough for a transfer. At that point, the patient had severe respiratory and pulmonary symptoms
