GOP congressman: America is 'not a nation of help'

Texas Rep. Roger Williams kicked off the first day of CPAC by touting capitalism as the 'greatest force in the history of our world.'

From the Feb. 27 session of the Conservative Political Action Conference:

REP. ROGER WILLIAMS (R-TX): We are a nation of opportunity and incentive, and because of those principles we are a nation of hope. We are not a nation of help where everyone can benefit. Capitalists believe in their reputation and the dignity of reaping reward from hard work. Capitalism is the greatest force in the history of our world because it lifts people out of poverty and we must instill this value in future generations to come.

Hope in one hand and crap in the other and see which one fills up.

Don't peddle me no hope. Don't tell me that being a wage slave on the verge of poverty is dignity and reaping even a subsistence existence from hard work. Don't cover up how capitalism requires poverty in order to crack its whip. Don't wave your flag of reputation of wealth and ideas of reputation from your corrupt tower of chronic affluenza and acquisition addiction. You have no excuse to the workers of the world and that whitewash is old hat that you are trying to infect young people with while you are doing everything that would assure the potential for future generations won't even exist, money monger.

That manifesto is anti-human, anti-rights and a genuflection to manipulative greed for the sake of the entitled. We are not buying that empty and subversive propaganda anymore! Only fools would enslave themselves by way of empty rhetoric designed to preserve the financial elite. We won't be your enablers willingly and your addiction is like an Anthropocene epidemic that ends in the 6th mass extinction. That habit is obviously not cost-effect for our species or others.
