Trump made a statement to the crowd at the Daytona 500!

He said ”fellow race fans, God & country”! I couldn’t turn it off fast enough! Now, I like NASCAR and I believe in God, but I know Trump could care less about either one!

"That Trump is doin' 'em victory laps for God and country. Sounds aieght to me!"

Superficiality is a great tool for tyrants these days. Just tell the words and you can lead them off of a cliff without a holler or even a struggle. Go, go, low-information voters, and blame the other side for your total failure to comprehend what is being done to you by somebody who "understands" you.

Although, much as I like racing, I'm aware they could march the KKK around the track and everyone would cheer. They are in Florida.

was how he "would like to just hop in one of those things and take a couple of hot laps" (paraphrase). Innocent enough comment you might expect from anyone, right? But what a sight that would be.

But then, for the real spectacle, imagine him trying to "just hop in". Well for one thing your Lardship, those cars don't have doors. You'd have to shimmy your fat ass, all 239 fat units, through the window. That would be worth watching the race for right there. What a hoot.

He has such an ego that he's making this event about himself.....makes a statement to the crowd....gives the command to start engine....a pace lap, and now just talked to the drivers radios. He won't leave! He's trying to make the Daytona 500 be about HIM and not the race itself! As if all of those people are there to see him.
