10. The best part is NO one is buying it!

Especially those left in the DoJ on the verge of a massive mutiny.

Fuck off, Mitch. Do your own damn job, for a change. No one is buying your act.

9. McConnell is similar in personality to AG Barr...

They both believe themselves independent of any outside pressure. Trump believes they both work for him. It is a clash of egos. Trump will bide his time to get revenge on both for crossing him. Also, he knows that Mitch knows he cannot win his race in KY without Donald Trump behind him.

22. But Matt Bevin was a special case of crazy.

He pissed off a lot of people. They hated him. That was the only race the Republicans lost, by the way.

14. I believe it is mostly "real"...

...why bring Mitch into the show?

Trump has given both Barr and McConnell room to do their own thing, more or less. At least, they thought they were doing their own thing.

Both are the type of personality that values their "reputation", whatever they perceive it to be? Mitch likes to be known as the "grim reaper". Barr is independent and the man in charge. Don't try to force him to do something he doesn't want to do.

16. I hope my skepticism is misplaced

Much as I'd like to see a Captain America/Winter Soldier/Iron Man battle to the death among these three miscreants, I don't think it's going to happen.

23. Mitch is trying to be the referee...

...he thinks he is the leader of their Party. Trump may back down and not say anything about McConnell but, in my opinion, he may want Barr gone for some reason. He may not be as malleable as he hoped he would be?

15. Maybe it's beyond hope, but perhaps cracks are developing in the wall between rump

and the Senate republicans? Maybe rump is going a little too far for them even in his outlandish and boorish behavior in trying to influence the courts? Maybe, just maybe...

Or perhaps they realized the magnitude of their missteps in acquitting rump and now are seeing him in his stained glory and bad paint job on the face?

God, these people can't act worth two hoots in a rain barrel. They must have studied under Sue Collins.

33. It's rehearsed, just like that 'wrestling' crap my neighbor's kids watch.

The wrestlers and these guys are all the same... a bunch of blowhards spewing fake arguments but all the while they make sure they posture well for the cameras. And the damned M$M eats it up like ringside peanuts.
