Why did Lindsey Graham "rat out" AG Barr??

It's a puzzle to me why Lindsey broke that information on a Sunday news show? I do not believe it was an accident or a slip of the tongue.

Was he trying to help Rudy in some way with his legal problems? After all, if Rudy was communicating with AG Barr, that might help him some way in a court of law?

AG Barr came forth and admitted that he was "processing" information from Rudy but that none of the info out of the Ukraine could be accepted as credible.

Why didn't he come forth when the Senate trial was going on? He hid that information from the US Senate. But, why?

It does seem the breaking of the information was intentional. We should assume that Donald Trump knew about it if it involved Lindsey, Barr, or Rudy.

Why would Barr accept the blame that was sure to come from such a story?

Why would Trump let him accept the heat?

Trump voters do not care, and the media talking heads prefer to focus on the always popular "Democrats in disarray" meme.

but I kinda figured he was okay for a rpublican...must have been in 2014 or so.

I saw him do an interview with (I think ) a young Katy Tur who asked him about why he never married. He seemed likable and gay. Then he went all reptilian, and I think it's "'cause there be blackmail."

You actually ASKED that last question?

The rule is that anyone that does Trump's dirty work is going to take the fall if that dirty work get exposed. Trump will just say that he does not know the person, or the person was some low level flunkie that he never had contact with or gave orders to.

I think it was a show of power. Same as firing the witnesses even though they were already going to quit. It's almost like proving you got away with it to say to the next whistleblowers not to bother. Those who testify get punished while they prove they are guilty and above the law.

... one of their main tricks. And, they like to get things out before the "bombshell" news story. An example of this was the perfect transcript. It was neither perfect nor a transcript, but it was going to be leaked - so they released it and said it was perfect.

There are no consequences to their actions. The only way to hold them accountable is in November. They can run wild until then.

Which is what they wanted all along in the first place. Tar him with the negative perceptions of investigation, just like they did to Hillary, banking on the fact that many people will assume that if he's being investigated he must be guilty.
