that supports millions of other vehicles with tailpipes.

The truth is, We are screwed - and no politician wants to even say that, much less be left holding the bag when the collapse comes.

And a big part of the reason why we seem to be unable to alter our fossil fuel consumption patterns.

The sixth mass extinction begins at the Younger Dryas Boundary. So does the book of Genesis.

The plow is a black ball technology. Fossil fuels are just accelerants.

I don't think most people understand how many fundamental premises, articles of faith, and sacred cows are challenged by the realities science has made observable in recent years. Science and dogma are antithetical, science denial is the rationalization of paradox necessary to preserve cherished beliefs.

It isn't just greed we have to overcome.

Mars is the ultimate bolt hole, the ultimate treehouse the billionaires can pull the ladder up on while everyone else drowns, burns, and starves. Where the the laws of Earth don’t apply so they can do whatever they want.

Mars exploration is good, but don’t forget who wants their grubby hands in that cookie jar.

I personally think they should be taxed out of existence, reduced to mere multi-millionaire status, but sending them to Mars would work just as well.
