I think this is EXACTLY where Pelosi thought we would be.

i bet when she started this she already figured that we would be right
here. Obviously they werent going to remove trump. She knew that.

But what COULD she get from it?

Pelosi got all these senators on record supporting trumps criminal behavior. Voting for his cover up. For everyone to see now and forever.

These people cant waffle in 3 years about how they really opposed trump before we found out all the REAL bad stuff about trump that came out after his election defeat. THIS was their shot in history to do the right thing or not and pelosi FORCED them to have to make it. And with plenty of time left before the election for WE THE PEOPLE to respond with our votes.

This was worth it. Voting for no witnesses was a HUGE mistake. They should have at least done that much and then acquit.

SO the gop gets to eat whatever shitburger trump farts out for the next 9 months. where he goes they
now blindly follow. everything for them rides on him.

would you wanna be stuck in that position?

i think pelosi is just fine with the result. just where she figured it
would be.

Because it exposes the ugly truth which no one can possibly ignore, and their only recourse will be to lie. Any American wanting to know the truth has it exposed in an unambiguous and stark light. History will not be kind to those who gave Trump a pass in the face of such obvious exposure of his crimes.

that's so different from the conservative darker image of humans, she must always have hoped somehow for more from a few more Republicans. No way delusional of course, no one could be more aware of how corrupt and traitorous these've become, just doing her best to help them and hoping.

Knowing of her being able to be the ultimate savvy Politician, she handed the rope to the Orange Anus in order to hang himself with the American Voters.

My guess is,the Speaker is about to move her Caucus with lightning speed dragging in Witness's to various Committee's while at the same time running several Reelection operations securing the White House and the Senate as well as her own Chamber. That I say after watching her body language as well as her
carefully chosen words when she left the chamber.

Trump has zero clue as to how real Politics works. And he bite off a big chunk of the Bus he is about to be under with his Tweets this morning.

There is no good reason for them to not want witnesses other than the witnesses claiming they were involved or that they knew of Red Don's plan

Having a full Fair trial with all Witnesses and documents and then acquit would have played into the Republicans hands. They would have looked like the good guys giving everyone a fair shot.

Pelosi might have figured that's what they were going to do. She might not have even realize they were just going to shut down all Witnesses and documents. That totally plays into the Democrats and that was a gimme for them.

Republicans knew if they allowed witnesses & docs it would implicate Pence et al. Then what? President Pelosi.

She knew how they would react and she didn't move until they had Trump cold doing something so awful even a child can see how awful it is. This makes the Senate Republicans look so bad that peeling off a few of the vulnerable purple state specimens might now be realistic. Everybody overplayed their hand, probably exactly as Pelosi anticipated they would. This is going to give the D's a lot of ammunition in November, at very little practical cost.
