This panel is lecturing and warning Democrats about how tough it will
be to run against trump and his lies.
Hello? Isn't it you guys' job to set the record straight and correct his lies!? Instead, you spend that precious time trying to blame and warn democrats while going on and on about how effective trump's SOTU was. I don't think I can stomach the next 10 months of news coverage if this is how it's going to be. Do your jobs, dammitt! Our country needs you!

2. If you're talking about MSNBC
they did fact check some of what he said. I'm not sure there are enough hours in the day to expose all trump's lies. The Democratic Party and the candidates will have to keep up with the constant tornado of lies that will come from Republicans from this day forward. It shouldn't be so, but it is.

3. Democrats can't rely on the media to correct to record.
If they can't do themselves, where it counts, we will lose.

4. What they were saying is we can fact check all day but most folks are not looking to check facts
and just believe it on face value. So even when corrected and fact checked the truth has a helluva time catching up with that lie.

7. Well maybe it's time to incorporate comedy, if that's what it takes. Look how SNL
shut down Palin to the point where everybody knew she was a joke. Why the hell can't the same be done with trump and his obvious whopper lies, like the "I'm protecting preexisting conditions!!!" lie?!
trump is a walking circus. I just don't get how this has happened. How do so many people support a clown?! 😤 😤 |

5. Rachel Maddow has an email to which she invites submission.
Your points are excellent and very valid, and you should send them to her at:

6. They are right it is going to be extremly hard to beat Trump as long as
the economy keeps going. I would rather they talk reality than repeat that bullshit we heard back in 2016 from some about the fucking Blue Wall and she's got this.

9. It will be hard because the media is not holding up their end, IMO.
I feel like a lot of the anchors on MSNBC and CNN are reporting as if they are helpless bystanders. They have megaphones and need to use them more effectively.
It's time to consistently and systematically educate everyone on exactly what's at stake this fall. They shouldn't assume they're just preaching to the choir. Drumpers also tune in from time and time, and what do they see? A bunch of sad and depressed folks who are worried about whether any of the democratic candidates can beat trump. It would be so much better if drumpers were greeted with news about what the thugocracy has really been up to. |

14. I don't know what else they can do they call Trump
a pathological liar daily. They talk about how corrupt he is and we all know it, the Republicans even admit it. A big percentage of this country could name more QBs on NFL teams than could name their own Senators. They get their political news from Fox, talk radio and bs people post on Facebook. If I didn't know better and just judged the president on the economy I would vote for the SOB myself.

10. Trump's lies and false narratives work.
That is something difficult to process for many who see through the lies - but we live in a reality show world and Trump has figured out that many people just want a good show - don't care about facts.
Dems need to pound better narratives, that Trump is an ineffective clown who has done very little to help improve the lives of people, and has done much harm, domestically and internationally, and is a clear and present danger. Dems also need some of their own tabloid showmanship themselves - that is clearly the space that alot of voters are judging 'who is stronger' - by who can win those sensational face-offs. Pelosi and Schiff have been very good at this, at humiliating Trump and deflating his image in the eyes of those voters who look to see who is more dominant. |
