Is it really over?

Lamar Alexander is going to vote no. Susan Collins and Mitt Romney are going to vote yes. Has Lisa Murkowski said how she will vote?
If Murkowski votes yes it is a 50-50 tie. Will chief justice Roberts insert himself and claim he is the one to break the tie?

HE can claim the tie break if he so chooses.

He is also a coward like Alexander, though.

with another majority vote. Then 50-50 would be a no although it could delay thngs a little. That's how I understand it anyway. I'm not a lawyer.

He's not going to show his hand in ANY case that may end up in a SCOTUS deal.

My guess: Murkowski will be buy Alexander’s appalling logic and vote no. Game over.

Or she will vote yes and Roberts will decline to break the tie. Also game over.

McConnell knows he has the votes to end this today.

Tragic and infuriating.

It's not over until we say it's over, and it's not over until we win.

This particular episode may be over, but so much still goes on, and we've done pretty well lately. Today's disappointment hurts, but let's be sure we honor those who did incredible work: The House of Representatives, the House managers, their staff who worked behind the scenes to help lay out an iron-clad case for impeachable offenses warranting removal from office. The failure here is entirely on Senate Republicans and their boot-licking sycophants in the media. They will reap the due penalty for their error.

That doesn't look good. Anyone else that may step up? Mike Lee maybe?

Any DEMS that may defect?
