Florida folks are all wintered up this morning

They even opened weather shelters it was the coldest temperature in more than nine years. It was 30s and 40s this morning.

IGUANAS officially fell... as did the temp in Miami. Down to 40 now, wind chill 33. Coldest temp in more than 9 years... donít worry, 80 is back Friday. 📸:@WPLGLocal10 h/t @SamWnek

We'll have our lowest temperatures for the year tonight. - high 60s
Guess the folks in Mandeville will light up their fireplaces as they do have low temperatures.

4. Never thought about them that way

I have a good friend in Trinidad and they have iguanas in their trees - they feed them with fruit skins every day. It's fun watching them scurry down and up the tree with fruit skins for their young.

13. A beautiful rainbow iguana ran through my FL yard last week, but there's nothing but birds and fish

around our lake, so of course s/he moseyed off.

It's definitely cool here, so reptiles are chillin'.

14. Yes, if I had to pick one over the other it would be the Iguanas. That's for sure. I'm just not a fan

of invasive species in general. I wonder if anyone has been hit on the head by a Monitor lizard yet. Not sure if they are climbers....

5. I wouldn't want an Iguana to fall on me.

That could hurt both of us.

15. I lived in the Keys for over 20 years.

I remember sitting in the car in the sun with the windows rolled up to get warm when this happened, which was rare.

Now around 32 in the Carolinas and I go outside with a long sleeve shirt and a vest lol. Funny what you get used to.

Iíd be wearing a down jacket if I were in the Keys today!

16. When I got up at 7:30 AM it was 32 F outside here in Tallahassee

I had an appointment with a fencing guy at 9:30 - it was 38. Yesterday the high was 48 F.

Even so, we have not had a good solid freeze in several years. That means the insects - flies and mosquitoes - have not gotten killed off so they get thicker and thicker every year.

It's supposed to get to the low 70s Friday but it will rain. When the weather clears the highs will be in the 60s, so it will be a little more comfortable.
