Tom Brokaw discharged from hospital 'in good health'; Anchor says he ‘mistakenly took’ Ambien

Tom Brokaw was discharged from a hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina on Thursday after he reported feeling light-headed on the set of MSNBC's "Morning Joe" and was taken to be checked out in an ambulance.

“After medical evaluation and a round of tests, Tom was pronounced in great health and has been discharged," NBC News President Steve Capus said in a statement. "We're immensely grateful to the team at Carolinas Medical Center for their excellent care and professionalism.”

6. You know..I noticed right away he was acting strange on Morning Joe!

I thought that maybe he had been up all night drinking or something. They cut to him, he said something kinda bizarre, they broke away, then he was GONE. I knew something was wrong then.

9. That might have been partially true, a few cocktails and

lack of sleep the night before, and the usual dose of medication in the morning can send someone over the cliff where it wouldn't ordinarily.

8. I sleepwalked into a door once after taking

Ambien. Never woke up and damn near broke my nose. I have never sleepwalked in my life.

11. While I was at the hospital I over heard some

one say that Brokaw had a heart attack and collapsed while on set, so when I got home I scanned the News here and on DU and saw nothing, but this story popped up.. and so, I am glad it wasn't a heart attack, for the record the idiot who said that, said he saw it on FOX NEWS.

I know someone who took it and then cooked an entire meal in her sleep. She didn't realize it until the next day when she found all the dishes in the sink.
