3. The military is a far-right organization.

Itís chockablock with dimwits and know-nothings who are just as bellicose and aggressive as Trump. Believing for one moment that the military stand anything less than foursquare behind the Tangerine Idi Amin is self-delusion.

4. They're obligated to follow his orders.

And donít think many of these generals arenít right on board with starting an all out war. Thatís their job, thatís what they like to do.

They're bound to follow it, even if they don't agree with it.

22. Those orders, while lawful, were immoral and unquestionably crimes against humanity.

The problem with this killing is not that it was immoral or a crime against humanity. The real problems were the lack of planning and foresight and the terrible geopolitical impact. Those aren't up to generals to assess or second-guess once the decision is made and the order given.

disagrees with him and now he has nothing left but yes men. Everyone that disagrees with him loses their job, pension and
their reputation.

8. That would be coup-ish. We need the other branches.

The military is an arm, and shouldnít be a branch, no matter how much I agree he needs to be stood up to. Congress needs to do nothing but raise hell until he has to face them, include them, and stop acting like a dictator.

9. Maybe at some point in time (near future) The HOUSE

Needs to make a decision to maybe STOP financing certain things? (If it gets to a point where we have NO OTHER CHOICE)

10. I don't want to live in a country where "generals" can override civilian rule

It's the job of Congress to put a stop to this but, apparently, is powerless to do so because of Moscow Mitch and his duma full of russian sympathizers. The fact that we're three years into this nightmare indicates our system of government is horribly broken.

21. If we had supported Democrasts in 2000,2004,2016 and all the mid terms...we would not be powerless.

Elections have consequences...and I hope people remember this next time and don't send message votes or opine the parties are the same...you want Democrats to fix things...vote for them...I don't mean you in particular but in the general sense of the word...vote blue no matter who...nothing will change until we do.

11. Some people hoped the generals could talk him out of bad decisions

But it's now clear that it's not possible for anyone to talk him out of anything he really wants to do. And the generals are not going to disobey a lawful order.

So, here we are ... looking at further proof of why you don't allow an amoral crazy person to assume the most powerful office in the world and hope that people who report to him will keep him from behaving like an amoral crazy person.

I feel we are BEYOND anything that has EVER happened to our country! I hope the House will call an IMMEDIATE Session to figure something out!

Obama in 14 should have voted for some Democratic Senators...we would have an extra justice too if some had.

15. This is an unusual situation.

The man is completely insane and willing to do anything to seek revenge and divert attention from his current domestic problems. Somebody or many people have got to stop him before he blows up the world. He is out of control and needs to be restrained.

32. You want our Generals to stop him?

I think I prefer that he be stopped this coming election, or via impeachment. Once Generals are asked to "stop" any political leader, no matter how despised, there's always a good chance....a great chance, in fact....that they'll simply take it one step further and seize power for themselves. It's called a military coup, and history is replete with countless examples of why involving the military in decisions of government on any level is an extraordinarily bad idea.

33. Heh.

I remember in 2003 hoping to see tanks on the White House lawn if necessary to prevent the imminent foolish invasion of Iraq after millions of people around the world took to the streets to protest.

Didn't happen.
