1. Before you discuss the current situation study this from 1988

Detail the lies from several sources

7. The predecessor event of events...

sigh...

1953 Iranian coup d'état
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1953_Iranian_coup_d%27%C3%A9tat

The 1953 Iranian coup d'état, known in Iran as the 28 Mordad coup d'état (Persian: کودتای ۲۸ مرداد‎ ), was the overthrow of the democratically elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh in favour of strengthening the monarchical rule of on 19 August 1953,[5] orchestrated by the United States (under the name TPAJAX Project[6] or "Operation Ajax" ) and the United Kingdom (under the name "Operation Boot" ).[7][8][9][10] It was the first covert action of the United States to overthrow a foreign government during peacetime.[11]

My own summary:
US backing of corrupt Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and his human rights abuses and his brutal secret police (SAVAK) leads to deepening opposition among Iranian people--something that should have been obvious to US intelligence operatives. Instead, a blind eye was turned culminating in the 1978 overthrow, return of the exiled Ayatollah Khomeini in '79 with western hatred propelling the October, '79 hostage crisis, Iranian Revolution and all that has come since.

One can not talk about the terrorist turn of Iran toward the West, without talking about our own culpability, IMO. My parents were there in late 1976-78. I know and saw much of this first hand. Like much that happens in the Middle East, Americans are rarely presented with ALL of the facts.

Today's events with Trump at the helm are my worst nightmare come true.

6. Link to airport being closed? This suggests otherwise

The drone strike was on an access road near the airport. It didn't directly strike the airport.
