Pro-impeachment editorials are easy to find. But apparently support for the president is lagging among Americans capable of writing short essays.

One of the most interesting things I did was divide the class into groups and give them boxes of chalk, access to the chalk boards and boxes of donuts to munch on and asked each team to diagram the structure of the government, etc. One of the best responses was as to the Joint Committee drawing...you can guess what they drew! LMAO...and left it on the board.

I miss those HS kiddos, did some juvie law and child custody cases as a lawyer. I wonder on some days if I should have kept teaching HS.

I am wondering if the use of chalk and reasons to impeach versus not-impeach done on the chalk board would be very different than the Nixon impeachment hearings. Things were very different back when I taught in the 1970s.

I found that letting them get involved and judging the other teams' diagrams for correctness was a real learning experience. Just about anything dealing with how the Fed, state of local govt functions can be diagrammed. This is good for all learning levels and personalities, too. They had fun and seemed to understand when having to show how things functioned.

With all the stimuli now -- much more so than when I taught back in the 1970s -- this might still work. Good luck and PM me any time to discuss this!

for WMDs, but that case to invade and torture wasn't funny either! It's sickening

GRAPHIC WARNING for the consequences of tasteless, soul-sucking GOP "jokes" we all remember:

=======================================

There's a clear and present danger in the Office of the Presidency and a raw and dangerous political party that supports it! Totally failing to uphold their oaths to protect and defend our constitution and upholding Russians' endeavors represents that clear and present danger. Abusing power, obstructing justice, selling out our democracy and those of fledgling nations to a foreign power's opportunities of advantage over us and our allies will never Make America Great Again or ever! It's no joke and one that I will never excuse. Oversite of civil/criminal behaviors of those that break that trust requires both impeachment and all possible consequences our constitution allows. I cannot
Not gonna take it anymore!
