They are damned if they do vote to acquit, and damned if they don't. Do the right thing and trump will spill the beans, do the wrong thing, and voters could vote against them in November. I am sure most of the ones in safe republican districts won't have to worry much about the voters, but the others will.

But he’s damaged goods as far as presidential timber. For the same reason that Mitt was. Go to Utah and spend any amount of time there and tell me they grasp the concept of separation of church and state.

Maybe Putin has grown frustrated with Trump and all the other Republicans who have received Russian money. Sanctions are still in place and they have all fucked things up beyond repair.

I bet Trump pressuring Ukraine for dirt on Biden was not part of the Putin playbook. If Putin had been involved Trump would not have had to do or say anything.

By Lev flipping, Putin is letting everyone know who is in charge.

Maybe Trump is promising full pardons to Senators who vote to acquit him.
