Denny Heck is retiring?!
Chris Hayes just mentioned it. Rep. Heck is so fed up with Republicans he's quitting. Wow that's horrible.

1. He can't take it anymore.
Can anyone blame him? Gaslighting will make anyone sick. I hope his seat is safe, and wondered when his last day was.

9. Nice that it's safe!
I lived in the area around Olympia in the 70's, near the Nisqually River. It was beautiful.
Will there be a special election? ![]() |

2. I was saddened to hear this. He's such a mature, knowledgeable voice in interviews.

5. THAT interview really made me feel sad
Sad to lose him in Congress
But also sad to think what our country how come to. As he said, good people exist on both sides. I know it isn't the local orthodoxy, but I have always believed that even as "the Republicans" writ large piss me right the fuck off. |

6. So sad
to hear he's leaving. He looked teary eyed too. tRump is a wrecking ball, and Putin loves it, to see us neutralized.
But Rep Heck said it we are better than this, and to step up. |

8. Rep. Heck seems very sad and depressed.
I think that he is horrified at how depraved his republican colleagues turned out to be.
