Sometimes captioning is just so perfect, and not just because it uses a picture he loathes.

21. Not to Republicans

They usually just use them to form plurals (you have to be fluent in Republicanese, since English does not use an apostrophe to form a plural). See below:

EXCERPTS FROM THE OFFICIAL DICTIONARY OF REPUBLICANESE

In Republicanese, many words that sound alike may be spelled differently at random. A few prominent examples:

In Republicanese, the following words may be spelled at random using any of the three ways given:

A.) Two, Too, To
B.) Their, They're, There
c.) Your, Yore, You're

The Republicanese version of Robin Hood therefore starts with "In days of you're...."

The only rule is that the correct use of them as in English is never permitted twice in a row.

Words with single letters that change meaning when that letter is doubled must never be used in correct English context. The classic example is “lose” vs. “loose.” In Republicanese, if you do not win an election, then you “loose” that election. Conversely, if your (Republicanese: you’re) belt is too tight, you need it more “lose” in order to be comfortable. Another example would be the Republicanese, “I met Donald Trump, and he was rudder than I imagined,” vs. “I grabbed the ruder and was able to steer the boat to shore.”

In Republicanese, as opposed to English, an apostrophe is used to form a plural. But it must be done at random, never systematically. For example, Bill and Hillary are "the Clinton's," but Bill, Chelsea and Hillary are "the Clintons." The other way around is also correct. In Republicanese, either form is correct as long as it is not spelled the same way twice in a row.

Start the vid, click in the lower right "Watch on YouTube" (hover till you see it), it'll open in a new window or tab, then skip the ad, click on "share" and copy th URL with one click.

Don has a channel and many of them are good. Not IMO as good as Randt Rainbow, but closer than about anyone else doing satires.

19. From the few I've seen, Randy Rainbow has a lighter touch than Don and I do

Don and I only started doing joint ventures this year, and he has a huge head start. I have no video facilities at all, where Don has won awards for his media work in the past. I just write lyrics and do some arranging for TFT. I'm in Europe and the rest of them are in Atlanta, so there are a few logistics involved. Don's Parody Project must have done well over 50 videos by now. He is amazingly prolific. Only ten of the Parody Project videos have been joint ventures with me, of which this one (Mar-a-Lagoville) was the first. I sort-of wrote some primitive screenplays for TFT's own videos from 2005-2018, but nothing near Don's sophistication.

24. Actually, I noticed

a change in production values with this one, and I suspect I could put my finger on which ten if I tried. I do a weekly column for a daily blog whose owner posts Parody Project videos pretty much whenever he sees them, so I've been following for a while willy nilly. I certainly don't hold it against Don, or you, or Rocky Mountain Mike, or Roy Zimmerman, or any other satirist I'm leaving out, that you don't all have the same production values! Each one's focus is different, and I'm grateful for and appreciative of each. Nice to meet you here, BTW. Thanks for your work - keep it up as much as you can.

25. You don't need to try very hard

Don always mentions "with The Freedom Toast" when it's something we did together. He has a very distinctive vocal style, so if it's one I just did the lyrics to and he did the music (e.g. Mar-a-Lagoville, Act Naturally, when Johnny Comes Rolling Home, Wall Street /Please give), you'll hear it. TFT on the other hand has a group of people with varied singing styles, some with great mimic abilities, so "Strangers on the Right," "In D.C." and "Dumb Down" come rather close to sounding like Sinatra, George Benson and Petula Clark. Our pianist is also a brilliant arranger. Being in Europe, I only get to participate in the Atlanta recording sessions once in a blue moon (Talking TSA Blues was the last one where I actually had a large active role). The engineer liked "Washington, D.C." so much that he asked to do the vocal, which he did. Don's animation and lip-synching was brilliant as well.

I already have two songs recorded that Don hasn't done yet. If he passes, they may yet fade into obscurity, unless you know someone who wants to post just an audio. They aren't yet posted anywhere.

32. Will do!

I have actually made an executive decision to take Friday off. At 67, 20 days in a row on the road gets weary. Next week promises to be similar, and that's assuming I can get in and out of France without being stranded by the strikes. Me spending a couple of days in a row in the same country won't bring the world to a crashing halt. It took me a few decades to discover this, but I'm now thoroughly convinced.

20. Thanks!

This was the first collaboration between us (The Freedom Toast) and the Parody Project. We must have done ten together all told. PP is incredibly prolific, with probably 50 or more to their credit over the last 3 years.
